Best Western Vergina Hotel was built in 1980 on a site that "Krussovo Inn" had been in business since the early 1900s. Back then, the Inn was considered to be located on the Western entrance of the city. As the city of Thessaloniki expanded greatly in the last fifty years, the hotel is now considered to be in the heart of the city centre.

Under current management since 1988, the hotel operates with a strong commitment to improve the quality of the facilities as well as the level of the services offered. Thus, the rooms are currently being renovated for the third time since 1988 so that they best meet the needs of 21st century traveller. In 1998, all public access areas were renovated aiming towards creating a comfortable, relaxing and hospitable environment.

In 1999, after a real estate acquisition, the first floor of the hotel was expanded by approximately 400sq.meters and five new conference rooms were created in addition to a new lounge area and the necessary secondary areas. Through the application of modern technology, most of the walls of this new area are removable allowing multiple size and shape options.

In the same year, the Hotel Vergina became a member of the Best Western family, the largest, privately owned, chain of hotels in the world.
Best Western Vergina Hotel enters the new century well equipped with all necessary means and the ambition to make more and more friends.
