At Metsovo, one of the most picturesque settlements n Greece, we created a club for the lovers of horse and free horse ridding, that will bring you closer to the harmony of the nature.
The Tourist Horse Ridding Center 'Prophet Helias' is completely composed of Greek horses, already known in Europe for their grace and properties, that keep winning a wider public of horse lovers, and offers you the joy of connection with the horse in a settlement of pure natural beauty that our region encloses.
Our experienced trainers will guide you through your first contact with the horse and will give simple lessons of horse riding with full equipment while you will only have to enjoy the magical settlement and surrender to the charm of the nature at Prophet Helias.
In case a single lesson or a course is not enough for you, we organize daily or two days excursions in the wider region, with staying at the shelter of the Municipality of Metsovo, that can accommodate up to 30 persons and you can join us to courses of amazing beauty in the national park of Pindos, Valia Kalda.
The mountain shelter is found at the location 'Kokini Vrisi' on an altitude of 1.950m. in Mavrovouni, there, at nights, around the fire you will taste local delicacies, fine barbeques, the frumenty and cheese pie of miss Eftihia as well as the traditional bread from our stone built oven that is located in the center of Metsovo and has a history of more than200 years.
