Archontiko Stamou Guest house is placed at Zagora, which is the "master" village among the 24 Pelion villages. This stone made residence, was built in 1863 by Pandou family, the founder of "Pandios" school. Closely related to customs and traditions, it accommodated, every so often, distinguished figures of politics, social life and art.
The current owners bought it in 1995. They run it from 2000 until 2003 and they renovated it in 2003 keeping the architectural style. You can enjoy luxurious accommodation that meets with tradition.
Archontiko Stamou has five double rooms, one three-bed room, and three suites, all decorated tastefully with antiques. All rooms have great view, fire place, and the room service is excellent.
At our bar you will enjoy a cozy and traditional environment, sitting near the fire place, while having your coffee, a drink or something to eat that is accompanied by chosen bottles of wine.
You can also enjoy our swimming pool and the sauna. In winter our visitors can enjoy many hours of skiing or walking at the ski-runs of Pelion, named "Agriolefkes", which is 20 minutes time away of Zagora.
They can also enjoy a visit at the Greek Museum where Rigas Fereos studied, and at the Public Library where are priceless old books, all donated by Zagora's benefactors. In summer there are many cultural events, horse-riding, and scales to the mountain. There are also beautiful beaches like "Chorefto", the place of inspiration of the famous poet Georgios Drosinis.
