ALONISSOS

Alonissos is and island that offers to a visitor the chance to really get to know nature. It offers exceptional beaches on the eastside of the island that can be reached by car or boat from the Patitiriou. From here you visit the sea park that was created in 1986 on the group of islands that are found northwards (Praso, Gioura, Piperi, Psathoura etc.). From there you can see the Mediterranean seals, dolphins and hawks. There are organized daily tours you can join for a trip to the islands. The main town of the island is only 3km. from the harbor, is practically deserted after the earthquakes in 1965, but a visit is worth it, just to see the quaint little settlement.
