Naxos is the biggest island in the Cyclades. Naxos has many types of accommodation available from luxury hotels to cheap hotel rooms or self catering apartments. Naxos island has a good road system and it is worth it to hire a car and visit the entire island. It is well known and associated with huge valleys of vineyards, olive groves and fruit – bearing tress. There are few Byzantine churches and monasteries, although there are some exceptionally good beaches with golden sands all along the seashore of the island. Some very good resorts on the island are Apollonas, Mikri Vigla, Aghia Anna and Aghios Prokopios. The island has a good road system and it is worth it to hire a car and visit the entire island. The main town of the island, Naxos, has many sights that are worth a look as well as the stone houses. The perfect place for quiet holidays since it is not one of the major tourist attractions.
