SKYROS

Skyros, the point of departure of Achilles to Troy, according to tradition, is the southern most island of Sporades, part of the municipality of Evia. It offers many beautiful beaches that can be accessed by the car, such as Atsitsa, Pefko and Kalamitsa. Here you will also find evergreen mountains and fertile plains. In the southern district of the island, you will find a rare breed of wild horses that can only be found here. In the main town of the island, which is only 10km. from the harbor that is called Linaria, it is worth it to stroll through the cobble paved streets and enjoy the pergolas, the beautiful gardens and the amazing views, also if you have a chance visit the folklore and archeological museums where you find many interesting artifacts from the ancient settlement of Palamari.
