KOS
One of the more cosmopolitan islands of the Dodecanisa, Kos, the island of Ipocratis, is famous for its beautiful climate, natural beauty, and archeological and historical monuments. Thousands of visitors flock here every year, to enjoy the beautiful beaches, rich vegetation and quaint little villages, which can be reached by the car using the well planned road system. It is worth paying a visit to the archeological monuments of the Ancient City at the port of the island and the Temple of Asklipiou. In the last few years the island has become more popular with tourists and offers many new and modern accommodation establishments and services of high quality. The main town of the island, Kos, new built after the catastrophic earthquake in 1933, it is spacious, beautiful and has wide roads. A characteristic of the island is that all movement has to be made by bicycle.
