DILOS
General Info:
Just one nautical mile away from Mykonos, the holy island of Apollo, Dilos is an unsettled island and literally is an open-air museum for the lovers for ancient monuments. The island was the spiritual and cultural center of the Aegean in ancient times, and the works that began in 1877 revealed findings of large archeological importance. Here you will find the Temple of Apollo, the Lake, the Theatre and many more. Thousands of tourists visit the island and the museum all year round, by boats from Mykonos and other Cycladic islands. There is no accommodation on the island and boats are forbidden to travel at night.
